As I prepare for the 3rd edition of the World Energies Summit, I reflect on my 20-year journey in the global upstream industry – a sector that has constantly evolved, presenting both challenges and opportunities. Over the years, I have witnessed remarkable transformations, from technological advancements to shifts in global energy demand, and it has been an honour to be part of an industry that plays such a critical role in the world’s economic and energy landscape.

The World Energies Summit has firmly established itself as a premier platform for high-level upstream discussions, uniting industry leaders, governments, and key stakeholders to explore the most pressing issues and opportunities in global energy.

This year’s Summit will address exploration and production opportunities, energy transition and security, growth strategies, overcoming upstream challenges, and the innovations shaping the oil and gas sector. We will also examine the policy frameworks and governance structures that are essential to ensuring long-term market stability, keeping the industry resilient, competitive, and aligned with the world’s evolving energy needs.

Each year, we actively seek industry input through our Delegate Input Survey, allowing us to shape an agenda that reflects the priorities and concerns of our network. The 2025 edition will deliver a programme that provides tangible takeaways, actionable strategies, and valuable insights into the energy sector’s future.

With six core themes, the Summit will bring together renowned experts, policymakers, and representatives from over 30 governments, making it a truly global gathering of decision-makers shaping the industry’s direction.
