Larus Energy Announced as Silver Sponsor of World Energies Summit 2025 After Breakthrough Seabed Geochem Results at Nanamarope Prospect

Frontier is delighted to welcome Larus Energy, a frontier explorer focused on Papua New Guinea’s emerging offshore play, as a Silver Sponsor of the World Energies Summit 2025, taking place on the 14th – 15th October in London, United Kingdom. The World Energies Summit is a premier global forum for upstream decision-makers and is an ideal upstream marketplace for independents like Larus Energy to share news and updates pertaining to their opportunities with the industry.

Larus Energy is an independent exploration company dedicated to identifying, acquiring and developing high-quality conventional oil & gas assets, with a current focus on Papua New Guinea’s largely unexplored offshore basins which offers exciting opportunities to the global upstream industry.

This announcement comes on the heels of new geochemical evidence, released this week, that thermogenic hydrocarbons are actively seeping from the seabed above Larus’s flagship Nanamarope prospect. The data were generated from a drop-core survey conducted in March 2025; laboratory analysis confirms a charge signature consistent with oil-phase migration, materially derisking charge to the prospect and confirms the presence of a working petroleum system. The Nanamarope prospect is a giant toe-thrust anticline with well imaged Miocene turbidite/contourite clastic reservoirs directly overlying what appears to be an actively generating Cretaceous source rock. A considerable number of follow-up prospects are also defined giving the block multi-billion barrel potential.

“These results are the strongest independent validation to date that Nanamarope is being charged by an active, oil-prone kitchen,” said John Chambers, Managing Director of Larus Energy. “With an unrisked mean volume approaching 1.8 billion barrels across a 48-kilometre structure, the stakes - and the upside - are enormous. Being a key partner at the World Energies Summit gives us the perfect global platform to share the story with industry key partners and investors. The map below outlines the PPL-579 and PPL-695 Licenses and we welcome any potential investors to get in touch to find out more about this highly prospective area.”

Gayle Meikle, CEO of Frontier Energy Network, welcomed the partnership:

“Frontier is absolutely delighted to welcome Larus Energy as a Silver Sponsor of the World Energies Summit. Larus is now planning a 3D seismic programme and is engaging potential farm-in partners ahead of a planned drilling campaign, and the Frontier team is looking forward to providing a platform in London in October to engage and update the industry on these exciting developments. It will also be exciting to shine a spotlight on Papua New Guinea at the World Energies Summit.”
